President Lee Jae-myung to Take Oath of Office at National Assembly

President Lee Jae-myung is set to take his oath of office on June 4 at 11 AM in the Central Hall of the National Assembly. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that the inauguration ceremony for the 21st president will take place in the Rotunda Hall of the National Assembly, where preparations are already underway. This event marks the official launch of the new government. A representative from the ministry stated that the ceremony will be streamlined, focusing primarily on the oath of office, reflecting President Lee's commitment to promptly address national issues. Approximately 300 attendees are expected, including the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chief Justice, the President of the Constitutional Court, the Prime Minister, the Chairperson of the National Election Commission, party leaders, members of the National Assembly, and cabinet ministers. The ceremony will center around the oath as stipulated in Article 69 of the Constitution and remarks to the public. Prior to the oath, President Lee plans to pay his respects at the National Cemetery in Seoul.
