President Lee Jae-myung Hosts Luncheon with Political Leaders

On June 22, President Lee Jae-myung held a luncheon at the presidential residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan, inviting leaders from both the ruling and opposition parties. This meeting marked the first time President Lee has convened with party leaders since his inauguration 18 days ago. Attendees included Kim Byung-ki, the acting leader and floor leader of the Democratic Party, along with Kim Yong-tae, the emergency committee chair of the People Power Party, and Song Eon-seok, the floor leader of the same party. Key officials from the presidential office, including Chief of Staff Kang Hoon-sik and Senior Secretary for Political Affairs Woo Sang-ho, were also present. During the meeting, President Lee discussed the outcomes of his participation in the G7 summit and engaged in a broad conversation about national affairs without a set agenda.
