Investigations revealed that he verified the identities of potential clients by collecting their identification cards, business cards, and pay stubs before proceeding with the arrangements. It is estimated that Mr. A generated approximately 300 million KRW in illicit profits during this period.

The police began their investigation after receiving a tip in December regarding prostitution activities occurring at the officetel near Beomeo Police Station, leading to Mr. A's arrest. Additionally, the Daegu Jungbu and Seobu Police have conducted a joint operation targeting six prostitution establishments in the region, resulting in the investigation of over 200 individuals, including business owners and clients.
