Pentagon's Hui Ends Nine-Year Journey with Cube Entertainment

Hui, the leader of the K-pop group Pentagon, has officially concluded his nine-year partnership with Cube Entertainment. On July 16, Cube announced that after thorough discussions, they have decided to terminate Hui's exclusive contract. Although the contract has ended, the company stated that they will continue to support Hui as he recovers from his recent injury. They expressed their commitment to helping him heal and return to the stage in good health.

Hui took to his social media to share a handwritten letter, confirming the end of his contract with Cube. He expressed deep gratitude towards the company, stating, "Cube has been a significant part of my life since my trainee days, and I have shared many precious moments with them. It feels surreal and a bit frightening, but I believe it’s time for a new beginning, and I am cautiously taking my first steps towards that."

He also addressed his fans, saying, "I know the sudden news of my injury must have surprised you, and I worry that the news about my contract might add to your concerns. I am focusing on my recovery and resting well, so please don’t worry too much."

Hui reflected on the changes that come with time, noting, "It seems like I am entering a new phase in my life, and it makes me think about how long we have been together. Let’s nurture our future together and look forward to happier times ahead. Just thinking about it makes me excited."

Hui debuted as the leader of Pentagon in 2016. Recently, he had to pause his activities due to a nasal fracture sustained while filming for JTBC's 'Mungchurya Chanda 4' (뭉쳐야 찬다4).
