Park Soo-hong Surprises Wife Kim Da-ye on Their Wedding Anniversary

In the latest episode of KBS 2TV's Superman Returns (슈퍼맨이 돌아왔다), aired on January 22, 2025, Park Soo-hong celebrated his wedding anniversary with a heartfelt surprise for his wife, Kim Da-ye. The couple embarked on a special date to Namdaemun Market, marking their first outing since the birth of their daughter, Jae-i, just 70 days prior.

During their shopping spree, Park Soo-hong couldn't resist purchasing baby clothes, including a dress he planned for Jae-i's 100-day celebration. Kim Da-ye playfully expressed her disappointment, wondering if they were only shopping for their daughter. Despite this, Park Soo-hong continued his shopping spree, ultimately buying over 20 outfits for Jae-i, which led to a humorous moment when he exceeded his credit card limit.

After their shopping adventure, the couple visited a 360-degree revolving restaurant at Seoul Tower, the same place where Park Soo-hong had proposed three years earlier. As they reminisced about their journey together, Kim Da-ye expressed optimism for the year ahead, saying, "This year will be good. I feel like we will finally enjoy what we were meant to enjoy."

In a touching moment, she gifted Park Soo-hong a scarf, wishing him warmth and happiness. In return, he presented her with a skincare treatment card to help with stretch marks from pregnancy.

However, their sweet moment was interrupted by complaints from nearby diners, which turned out to be part of a surprise event orchestrated by Park Soo-hong. He appeared with balloons and rings, visibly emotional from the start.

Park Soo-hong shared, "My wife means more to me than family. We registered our marriage first and I couldn't give her a proper proposal. This year, I wanted to make a promise filled with my heart." The emotional surprise brought tears to both Kim Da-ye and the show's MCs, Choi Ji-woo and Ahn Young-mi.

In an interview, Park Soo-hong reflected on the anxiety of keeping the surprise, stating, "I was nervous about whether it would go well, but with the actors' help, it turned out to be a perfect secret event. I was so happy to see Da-ye surprised and delighted."

He even admitted to shedding tears while waiting to change outfits for the event, saying, "They say love is about giving. I felt so happy to give something meaningful, and despite our struggles, being on Superman Returns has brought us joy."

As Park Soo-hong continued to cry, Kim Da-ye joked, "I'm the one receiving, but you're the one crying so much." He humorously replied, "I wonder why I'm crying; maybe it's menopause!" He also read a heartfelt letter he wrote, expressing his gratitude for their life together and his love for her, emphasizing that she is his greatest gift.
