Park Shin-hye Expresses Gratitude to Husband Choi Tae-joon at SBS Acting Awards

On December 21, the '2024 SBS Acting Awards' took place at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Seoul, hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Kim Hye-yoon, and Kim Ji-yeon (Bona). During the ceremony, Park Shin-hye received the 'Director's Award' for her role in 'The Judge: The Devil's Advocate'.

In her acceptance speech, she expressed heartfelt thanks to writer Jo Yi-soo for crafting the character of Kang Bit-na, stating, "I sincerely appreciate the way you wrote the character. Every time I acted, you gave me the OK sign and praised me, saying, 'Bit-na, Park Shin-hye's acting is amazing.' I am truly grateful to director Park Jin-pyo for supporting me on set and ensuring I could perform my best. You created the perfect conditions for me to shine as Bit-na, and I thank you for always cheering me on during tough times."

With tears of joy, Park Shin-hye added, "While I often say I am happy to be Choi Tae-joon's wife, I feel that it is actually because of him that I could shine as Bit-na. I want to thank actor Kim Jae-young for being my partner. Most importantly, I believe this award is a reflection of the incredible performances of my co-stars, and I accept it on their behalf."

Reflecting on her journey, she recalled receiving the Best New Actress award at the SBS Acting Awards 21 years ago and expressed gratitude to the viewers and fans who have supported her throughout her career. "I have often pondered about my career and how long I can continue in this profession. This time, your warm acceptance of my transformation has brought me immense joy, and I thank you once again."

She also acknowledged her sister-like figure, Eun-young, who has supported her for nearly 20 years, saying, "No matter what anyone says, she is truly a wonderful representative of my entertainment career and my family. We may argue and bicker, but it is because of her that everything has been possible."

Park Shin-hye concluded her speech by expressing her love and gratitude to her fans, stating, "I am so thankful to our starry angels who have continued to love me even after I became a mother. Meeting someone who matches me so well is rare, and among them are Eun-young and my husband Choi Tae-joon. I want to take this opportunity to thank him for always encouraging me, especially when my self-esteem is low. I am also grateful to my beloved family and will make sure to personally thank everyone who has supported me."
