Park Jung-min Returns with a New Role in 'Harbin'

After a two-month hiatus, acclaimed actor Park Jung-min is set to make his return to the big screen in the film 'Harbin' (하얼빈). Known for his exceptional acting skills, Park will portray the loyal comrade Woo Deok-soon, who consistently supports General Ahn Jung-geun (played by Hyun Bin) in this gripping historical drama directed by Woo Min-ho.

Set in 1909, 'Harbin' explores the intense pursuit and suspicion between those heading to Harbin for a singular purpose and those who are in pursuit of them. Park Jung-min's role marks a significant departure from his previous filmography, showcasing a new side of his talent.

In the film, Park emphasized the importance of interpreting the character of Woo Deok-soon, who is based on a real historical figure. He stated, "I referenced various historical materials to capture the essence of Woo Deok-soon. The key was to determine how to best portray this character in a way that fits our film."

Reflecting on his collaboration with director Woo Min-ho for the first time, Park expressed his enjoyment of the process, noting that the director's clear and dynamic direction greatly aided his performance. Woo Min-ho praised Park's ability to convey the character's complexity, stating, "Woo Deok-soon may appear rough on the surface, but he has a delicate side that is captivating.
