Park Jung-min Responds to Activity Suspension Rumors Amidst 'Harbin' Success
On December 26, actor Park Jung-min held a virtual interview from Latvia, where he is currently filming the new movie 'Humint' directed by Ryu Seung-wan. During the interview, he discussed his role in the film 'Harbin' (하얼빈), which depicts a tense chase and suspicion among those heading to Harbin in 1909 for a common goal. The film, which premiered on December 24, has garnered significant attention, attracting over 1.25 million viewers within just two days of its release. In 'Harbin', Park Jung-min portrays independence activist Woo Deok-soon, who collaborated with General Ahn Jung-geun, played by Hyun Bin.
Reflecting on his time in Latvia, Park shared, "I grew to love this country while filming 'Harbin'. The month I spent here felt long and memorable, especially enjoying drinks with my co-stars. It's exciting to be back for another shoot."
Despite his busy schedule, Park Jung-min has recently appeared in web entertainment shows, including 'Yeojeongjaehyeong' with singer Jung Jae-hyung and content with YouTuber Chimchakman, which sparked discussions about his plans to take a break next year. He clarified, "I never said I would stop filming; I just mentioned needing a little rest, but it turned into a 'suspension' rumor, which is a bit embarrassing."
He added, "I believe something will come out in February, so I will meet the audience again. I have some projects in the pipeline, and I apologize if it seems like I lied to the audience. I do plan to take a break next year, but I will still have projects coming out, so I hope to find someone who will choose me again. I might end up retracting my break announcement, and for that, I apologize. I will work hard!"
