Park Ji-yoon Expresses Condolences Following Tragic Plane Crash

Park Ji-yoon has once again spoken out in remembrance of the victims of a recent plane crash. On December 29, she expressed her sorrow, stating, "Everyone must have left with such excitement, and it saddens me to hear this while I am traveling as well." She extended her condolences to the deceased and wished for the recovery of the survivors.
While in New York, Park learned about the tragic incident involving Jeju Air flight 7C2216, which crashed during landing at Muan International Airport after colliding with the runway's outer wall. The aircraft was engulfed in flames, leaving only two crew members rescued from a total of 181 passengers, with 179 confirmed dead. This disaster has led to a nationwide mourning period, with the government declaring a period of national mourning until January 4.
On December 31, Park Ji-yoon shared her thoughts again, stating, "Despite the deep pain and sorrow, 2025 will soon dawn. I hope for a little recovery and hope for all of us. May this year allow us to smile a bit, take a step back, and embrace each other."
In her personal life, Park Ji-yoon married fellow broadcaster Choi Dong-seok in 2009 and has one son and one daughter. However, she shocked fans with news of their separation after 14 years of marriage last October. During their divorce proceedings, both parties filed counterclaims against each other and engaged in a public dispute on social media.
Both have denied allegations of infidelity, and an investigation into sexual assault claims against Choi Dong-seok was closed due to insufficient evidence.
