Park Ji-hyun's Mini Album 'OCEAN' Surpasses 250,000 Copies in First Week

Singer Park Ji-hyun has made a remarkable debut with her mini album 'OCEAN', surpassing 250,000 copies sold in its first week and claiming the top spot on the Hanteo Weekly Album Chart for the third week of January. The album recorded an impressive score of 230,786.10 points based on sales of 250,033 copies during the charting period from January 13 to 19.

Released on January 13, 'OCEAN' marks Park Ji-hyun's first mini album since her debut as a solo artist. It achieved a personal best by topping both the daily and weekly Hanteo charts.

The album features five tracks, including the title song '바다 사나이' (Sea Man), which reflects her life experiences, as well as '목포 부르스' (Mokpo Blues), a tribute to her mother, and other songs like '우리는 된다니까' (We Can Do It) and '항구의 이별1,2' (Port Farewell 1,2). All tracks have been performing well on various music streaming platforms, showcasing the strong support from her fanbase, known as 'Endorphin'.

In the weekly album chart, GFRIEND's special album 'Season of Memories' secured the second position with a score of 81,124.22 points (sales of 53,966 copies), while BSS's second single 'TELEPARTY' came in third with 54,280.07 points (sales of 42,807 copies).

Additionally, Park Ji-hyun ranked second on the Weekly World Index, following Rosé, who topped the chart with 16,643.49 points, thanks to her global hits like '아파트' (Apartment). Park Ji-hyun scored 11,100.62 points, placing her ahead of aespa, who took third with 8,529.18 points. The World Chart is compiled based on global data from album sales, streaming, certifications, social media, and media coverage of K-pop artists.

Hanteo, which translates to 'the foundation of Korean music', operates the Hanteo Chart, connecting over 1,500 record stores worldwide to provide real-time music charts and insights into the global music scene.
