Park Chun-hyu Denies Dating Rumors with Will During 'You Quiz on the Block'

Park Chun-hyu, the acclaimed writer of the musical '어쩌면 해피엔딩' (Perhaps a Happy Ending), addressed dating rumors with his collaborator Will during the 300th episode special of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' aired on July 2, 2025. Reflecting on their initial meeting, Park shared, "I was working as a lyricist in Korea before studying visual arts at NYU. Will studied musical theater, and a mutual friend introduced us."
He continued, "A Korean musical producer heard Will's work and proposed to adapt '번지점프를 하다' (Bungee Jumping of Their Own) into a musical. Will agreed to work with me, which led to my role as a lyricist. I realized that my wandering was all to pursue musical theater," he said with a smile.
At the 2025 Tony Awards held in New York, '어쩌면 해피엔딩' won six awards, including Best Musical, Best Book, Best Original Score, Best Direction of a Musical, Best Scenic Design, and Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical. When accepting the award, Park humorously stated, "We did not come as a couple," which elicited laughter from the audience.
In a video call during the 'You Quiz' segment, Will expressed, "Meeting Hyu completely changed my life. He is a friend who inspires me. I feel lucky to have met him. The robot concept in 'Perhaps a Happy Ending' was brilliant, with a unique and emotional image. I wanted to create character stories together," he said with a bright smile.
