Park Bo-young Expresses Desire to Reunite with Ju Ji-hoon After Filming

Actress Park Bo-young recently shared her thoughts on her collaboration with Ju Ji-hoon during the press conference for the new Disney+ original series, 조명가게 (Lighting Store), held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore. The event featured the series' writer Kang Full, director Kim Hee-won, and the lead actors, Ju Ji-hoon and Park Bo-young.
Park Bo-young commented, "This is my third time playing a nurse, so I felt some pressure, but the genre itself is quite light-hearted. The nursing roles are different, so even though we share the same profession, our characters have distinct personalities, which I believe will be interesting for viewers. We didn’t meet on screen, and we also didn’t meet during filming. Most of the shooting took place at the lighting store, while I filmed my scenes at the hospital. I had high expectations, but since we didn’t get to meet on set, I hope we can reunite again in the future."
The series, 조명가게 (Lighting Store), revolves around a mysterious lighting shop that attracts customers with hidden secrets. It is anticipated to be one of Disney+'s top projects following the global success of the 2023 series, 무빙 (Moving). This marks Kang Full's second scriptwriting project, and it is the fifth installment in his 'mystery psychological thriller' series, based on the webtoon of the same name, which has garnered over 150 million views and widespread acclaim from readers.
The series aims to expand on character narratives, with Kim Hee-won, known for his compelling performances in various films and dramas, making his directorial debut. The cast includes a diverse ensemble of 11 characters, portrayed by Ju Ji-hoon, Park Bo-young, Kim Seol-hyun, Bae Sung-woo, Eom Tae-goo, Lee Jung-eun, Kim Min-ha, Park Hyuk-kwon, Kim Dae-myung, Shin Eun-soo, Kim Sun-hwa, and Kim Gi-ha, promising a seamless acting synergy.
조명가게 (Lighting Store) is set to premiere on December 4, releasing two episodes weekly over the following two weeks.
