Park Bo-gum Takes Over as Host of 'The Seasons

In the latest episode of KBS2TV's 'The Seasons - Lee Young-ji's Rainbow,' Lee Young-ji offered some advice to her successor, Park Bo-gum, as the show revealed its upcoming title, 'Park Bo-gum's Cantabile,' set to premiere on March 14.

The final episode aired on February 21, marking the end of Lee Young-ji's five-month journey as the host, during which she interacted with 85 different teams. Reflecting on her experience, she shared, "Meeting various guests and showcasing my favorite music were the most memorable moments."

Lee Young-ji humorously encouraged Park Bo-gum, saying, "Make sure to practice 'Supernova' for the next season!" When asked to sum up her feelings in five words, she playfully stated, 'Jealous of Park Bo-gum,' 'Let it fail without me,' and 'Only I should succeed,' bringing laughter to the audience. She concluded by asking for a big round of applause for Park Bo-gum in the upcoming season.

The show 'The Seasons' is a unique music talk show that introduced an 'annual project' format, following previous seasons hosted by notable figures like Jay Park, Choi Jung-hoon, AKMU, Lee Hyori, and Zico. The sixth season, titled 'Rainbow,' aims to present a diverse array of stories and performances from various genres of musicians.

Park Bo-gum's appointment as the new host marks him as the first actor to take on this role in 'The Seasons,' generating significant interest. In an interview, Lee Young-ji advised him, "Show your true self as an MC, and the program will reflect your unique color. Everyone, including Jay Park, Choi Jung-hoon, AKMU, Lee Hyori, and Zico, has brought their own flair, and you will too. Don't worry too much about the pressure."

She also offered practical advice, saying, "If the teleprompter goes out, don’t panic. If you find yourself in an awkward situation, just ask the audience to clap, and they will support you."

'Park Bo-gum's Cantabile' will premiere on KBS2TV on Friday, March 14, at 10 PM.
