Park Bo-gum Shows Enthusiasm for Hosting 'Cantabile'

On March 11, 2025, a press conference for KBS2's 'The Seasons - Park Bo-gum's Cantabile' took place at the KBS Art Hall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul. The event was hosted by KBS announcer Lee Ye-won and featured MC Park Bo-gum, bandmaster Jung Dong-hwan, and producers Choi Seung-hee, Son Ja-yeon, and Choi Ji-na.
'The Seasons' is KBS's first late-night music program to adopt a seasonal format, having started in February 2023 with 'Jay Park's Drive,' followed by 'Choi Jung-hoon's Night Park,' 'AKMU's Onal O'Bam,' 'Lee Hyori's Red Carpet,' 'Zico's Artist,' and 'Lee Young-ji's Rainbow.' Each season has showcased different genres and styles, bridging musicians and viewers.
This seventh season features Park Bo-gum as the first-ever actor to take on the role of MC. Last season's host, Lee Young-ji, humorously advised him, saying, 'As the MC of 'The Seasons,' you must learn the choreography for aespa's 'Supernova.' I hope you practice!'
In response, Park Bo-gum expressed his gratitude, recalling how Lee had previously called him a 'national treasure' on another show. He playfully asked, 'Shall we try dancing to aespa's 'Supernova' now?'
He added, 'I don't dance as well as Young-ji, so I might need some training from her later.' Park Bo-gum acknowledged that he feels he lacks the experience and skills of previous MCs who have hosted amazing guests. However, he was motivated to take on this role because he believes it's a crucial time to promote K-pop. He also expressed his desire to share more of himself with viewers and fans, stating, 'I’m happy to show my face more, from the recently released Netflix show 'Bokssak Sogassuda' to 'Cantabile.'
