K-pop band ONEWE is set to make a comeback with their second studio album titled 'WE: Dream Chaser' (위: 드림 체이서). The announcement was made today (February 13) at midnight through their official social media channels, featuring a motion logo for the album.

The released video showcases the album title 'WE: Dream Chaser' alongside silhouettes of the five members energetically running, reminiscent of a scene from the music video for their 2022 special album's title track 'Roommate' (룸메이트). This visual representation effectively captures the essence of the album's theme, which translates to 'those who chase dreams'.

'WE: Dream Chaser' marks ONEWE's first full-length album in approximately five years since their debut album 'ONE'. With the transition from 'ONE' to 'WE', fans can expect an evolved musical landscape from the group.

In addition to the album release, ONEWE will kick off their activities with a concert in Vietnam on March 21, followed by a North American tour from April to May. They will also hold their debut world tour '2025 ONEWE WORLD TOUR 'O! NEW E!volution Ⅳ'' in Seoul on June 14-15, signaling their expansion into global markets.

The album 'WE: Dream Chaser' is scheduled to be released on March 5 at 6 PM KST across various music streaming platforms.

During this time, Kim Da-ye expressed her confusion, saying, 'Yesterday, you told me to wean Jae-i since she’s 100 days old, but why do you keep telling me not to breastfeed?' In the studio, Park Soo-hong explained, 'Kim Da-ye's inflammation levels are 20 times higher than normal. She was hospitalized for treatment and underwent major surgery. The Supreme Court of South Korea has officially annulled the six-month suspension imposed by the Korea Communications Commission (KCC) on the comprehensive programming channel, Maeil Broadcasting Network (MBN). On February 13, the Supreme Court's second division, led by Justice Park Young-jae, upheld the lower court's ruling in favor of MBN, confirming that the KCC's actions were unjustified.

In November 2020, the KCC had decided to suspend MBN's operations for six months, citing violations of the Broadcasting Act due to illegal capital contributions made during the channel's approval process. To mitigate the impact on MBN's partners, the KCC included a six-month grace period.

Disagreeing with the KCC's decision, MBN filed a lawsuit in January 2021. The first trial ruled in favor of the KCC, stating that MBN had submitted falsified financial statements and stock subscription documents to meet the required capital of 395 billion won (approximately $395 million).

However, the appellate court overturned this decision, arguing that the KCC failed to adequately consider the public interest and the potential harm to MBN, as well as the implications for press freedom and the public value of journalism. The court concluded that while MBN's actions were indeed improper, they did not fundamentally undermine the network's social function as a media outlet.

Following this ruling, the KCC sought to appeal, but the Supreme Court found no significant legal violations in the appellate court's decision and dismissed the appeal without further hearings, thereby finalizing the ruling in favor of MBN.

The father of 8-year-old Kim Ha-neul, who tragically lost her life due to a stabbing incident involving a teacher in Daejeon, has publicly requested that Jang Wonyoung of the girl group IVE pay her respects. He revealed that his daughter was a devoted fan of Wonyoung, expressing, "Ha-neul had asked me to send her to an IVE concert in Daejeon, and I promised her I would. Wonyoung was her dream. If possible, could you come to see Ha-neul?" 

Following this request, Wonyoung's social media accounts have been flooded with comments urging her to offer condolences, with messages like, "Please say a word of encouragement for Daejeon Ha-neul" and "Please attend the funeral of this innocent angel who was brutally taken from us." 

However, there has been backlash against the request, with some netizens arguing that it is inappropriate to pressure a celebrity into attending a funeral, stating, "Don’t force a condolence visit" and "Sending a wreath should be enough." 

In response to the situation, IVE's agency, Starship Entertainment, sent a wreath with the message, "Singer IVE. We offer our condolences to the deceased," along with a photo card that Kim Ha-neul cherished. 

The father also called for political attention to prevent future tragedies, urging representatives from both parties to visit the funeral home and listen to his story. He emphasized the need for mental health support for teachers and the establishment of a law, informally referred to as the 'Ha-neul Law,' to ensure the safety of younger students. 

In light of this, Kwon Young-se, the chairman of the People Power Party, and Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party, have decided to visit the funeral home at Konyang University Hospital in Daejeon. Kwon even canceled his scheduled appointments for the day. The exact time of their visit has not been disclosed. 

Kim Ha-neul was fatally stabbed on February 10 by a female teacher in her 40s, who had been suffering from depression. The teacher confessed to the crime, stating that she had been receiving treatment for depression since 2018 and had returned to work early. During police questioning, she revealed that she lured the last student leaving the classroom to the audiovisual room under the pretense of giving them a book before committing the act.

"My mother was a strong woman who insisted that I study hard and have a career, which led me to nursing," she shared. Key added that his grandmother had arranged for his mother to take English lessons in sixth grade, which instilled in her the importance of education. "Because of that, my mom always thought it was essential to teach her children English, so I grew up close to the language," he said.
