Olympic Shooting Star Kim Yae-ji Named One of the Most Stylish People of 2024 by The New York Times

Kim Yae-ji, who won a silver medal in the women's 10m air pistol event at the Paris Olympics, has been recognized as one of The New York Times' '63 Most Stylish People of 2024.' Joining her on the list is Japanese Major League Baseball star Shohei Ohtani.

On December 5, 2024, The New York Times released the list, highlighting Kim Yae-ji as a 'sharpshooter from Korea' who made a striking appearance with Mad Max-style glasses and an elephant plushie during the Olympics.

The article also praised Shohei Ohtani, describing him as a dual-threat superstar who led the LA Dodgers to success in his first year with the team. He made history as the first player in Major League Baseball to achieve 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season and was named the National League MVP.

Each year, The New York Times selects individuals who have made a fashion statement across various platforms, including advertising campaigns, fashion shows, red carpets, and sporting events.

Other notable names on the list include Hollywood stars Demi Moore, Zendaya, pop icons Ariana Grande and Beyoncé, singer-songwriter Chaplin, British pop star Adele, and Charlie XCX. Additionally, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's daughter, model Apple Martin, as well as Nicola Coughlan, known for her role as Penelope in Netflix's Bridgerton Season 3, were also featured.

Notably, Moo Deng, a baby hippo from Thailand, captured attention as well. Born in July at the Khao Kheow Zoo, Moo Deng gained worldwide popularity on social media, leading to a surge in merchandise and fan art, as well as international visitors eager to see the adorable hippo.
