Oasis Hints at Concert in Korea, Fans Eagerly Anticipate

The iconic British rock band Oasis, which recently announced their reunion to celebrate their 30th anniversary since debuting in August, has sparked excitement among fans with a cryptic post hinting at a concert in Korea.

On October 20, Oasis shared a post on their official X (formerly Twitter) account featuring the flags of Korea and Japan alongside the date 'Friday, November 22.' The post also included images of billboards taken in Japan and Korea, one of which appeared to be from a digital display in front of COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, featuring the phrase '말이 씨가 된다' (Words become seeds).

Previously, a report from the British music magazine NME in September suggested that Oasis would perform in Seoul, but the recent post from the official account has heightened fans' expectations. NME had stated that the reunited band would be touring cities including Toronto, Chicago, New Jersey, Boston, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Seoul, and Tokyo.

Fans speculated that the phrase '말이 씨가 된다' could confirm the long-rumored concert in Korea, anticipating an official announcement regarding the concert schedule for Seoul and Tokyo on the 22nd. Reactions from netizens included comments like, 'This must mean they are announcing the concert schedule,' 'Looks like Oasis is coming to Korea,' and 'This is an official announcement.'

Oasis, which debuted in 1994, is a legendary band known for their seven studio albums, including the critically acclaimed 'Definitely Maybe,' all of which reached number one on the UK charts. With over 75 million records sold worldwide, they have been hailed as the 'successors to The Beatles.' However, the band disbanded in 2009 due to a feud between brothers Noel Gallagher, the primary songwriter, and Liam Gallagher, the band's frontman. After 15 years, Oasis has reunited this year to celebrate their 30th anniversary.
