Oasis Confirms Concert in South Korea for October 2025: 'Korea, Our New Best Friends'

The globally beloved band Oasis has officially announced a concert in South Korea, set to take place in October 2025 at the Goyang Sports Complex.

Formed in 1991, Oasis achieved monumental success with their second album, [(What's the Story) Morning Glory?], which topped the charts for ten consecutive weeks. The band released a total of seven studio albums, all of which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, selling over 90 million copies worldwide. Iconic tracks such as 'Wonderwall,' 'Don’t Look Back in Anger,' and 'Live Forever' have transcended generations, showcasing the band's unique blend of rock and pop that has influenced many contemporary and future artists.

The longstanding feud between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher led to the band's hiatus in 2009. Following this, both brothers pursued successful solo careers with their respective bands. After years of speculation regarding a potential reunion, Oasis officially confirmed their return in August 2024, announcing a world tour titled 'Oasis Live '25' with the statement, "The great wait is over."

The news of Oasis's reunion sent waves of excitement through the global music community. Their debut album, [Definitely Maybe], was re-released in a special 30th-anniversary edition, which also topped the UK Albums Chart, while 'Live Forever' and 'Don't Look Back In Anger' made it into the UK Singles Chart top ten. The initial tour dates in the UK and Ireland saw over ten million fans from 158 countries vying for tickets, demonstrating the band's immense popularity. Subsequent shows in North America, Australia, and South America have also sold out, reflecting their enduring appeal.

Oasis previously performed in South Korea in 2006, where they sold out their first concert, and returned in 2009 for both a solo show and as a festival headliner. They have expressed a special fondness for their Korean fans, even performing the rarely played 'Live Forever' during their shows. Noel Gallagher has visited South Korea multiple times with his band, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, where tickets sold out rapidly, leading to additional shows. Notably, recent performances have attracted a youthful audience, with over 70% of attendees being in their teens and twenties.

As the world tour schedule was released, South Korean fans eagerly anticipated the announcement of a concert, which has now been confirmed for the first time in 16 years since 2009. This historic event will allow fans to experience a legendary band that has captivated music lovers across generations, including the Gen Z audience. Oasis expressed their excitement with a message: "South Korea, our new best friends. Hold on. Oasis is coming."

The concert is scheduled for October 21, 2025, at 8 PM at the Goyang Sports Complex, with tickets going on sale exclusively through Interpark Ticket starting November 29 at noon.
