NJZ to Make Debut at ComplexCon Hong Kong 2025

The K-pop sensation NewJeans has announced a new chapter under the name NJZ as they prepare for their first major event. They will be featured at the ComplexCon Hong Kong, taking place from March 21 to 23 at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong. This festival marks the second event held outside North America, following last year's success. NJZ will be part of the 'Complex Live' concert series, drawing significant attention from fans.

As NJZ, the group aims to redefine their identity while continuing to be a leading force in the K-pop industry. The group consists of five members: Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. Previously known as NewJeans, they made a remarkable impact on the K-pop scene, quickly becoming a favorite among Generation Z with their innovative sound and genre-defying style.

Their debut album, 'NWJNS,' achieved over 555.2 million streams, making it the most-streamed girl group album in the history of South Korea's largest music platform, Melon. Their debut single also surpassed 600 million streams on Spotify.

In addition to their streaming success, NJZ made history by winning the 'Group of the Year' award at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards, becoming the first K-pop girl group to receive this honor. They also won the 'Top Global K-Pop Artist' award at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards and swept several accolades at the 2023 MAMA Awards and Melon Music Awards, contributing to the NewJeans phenomenon.

Following NJZ, the lineup for ComplexCon also includes renowned American hip-hop producer Metro Boomin, known for his groundbreaking production style and collaborations with top artists like Nicki Minaj and Drake. Additionally, Quavo, the leader of the iconic rap group Migos, will also perform, alongside a diverse array of artists from various countries, including Zico, B.I, and MC Jin.

The festival will feature solo performances from artists such as Japanese DJ Shuzo, Hong Kong singer and actor Jace, and the emerging Chinese rap group Dizi Ghetto. The specific performance dates for each artist will be announced later.

Daniel Arsham, a prominent American artist, will serve as the '2025 Global Artistic Director' for both the Las Vegas and Hong Kong events of ComplexCon. More updates regarding ComplexCon Hong Kong will be released leading up to the festival.
