NJZ Denies Reports of Partnership with Vana

The group formerly known as NewJeans, now rebranded as NJZ, has refuted claims that they are partnering with Vana after leaving Ador. On February 14, a statement was posted on an account managed by the parents of NJZ members, declaring, "The recent article stating 'NJZ has partnered with Vana' is completely false."

The parents emphasized that NJZ has not entered into any contract or discussions with Vana. They criticized the article for citing 'multiple industry insiders' as sources, labeling this as unfounded misinformation intended to stir controversy without verifying facts with the involved parties or Vana.

They also indicated plans to take legal action against media outlets that continue to spread such falsehoods, mentioning potential complaints to the Press Arbitration Commission and strong criminal responses.

The statement further expressed concern over the mental distress caused to NJZ members and their associates due to repeated publication of baseless claims, urging the journalist responsible for the article to be held legally accountable for the dissemination of false information.

Recently, NJZ announced their departure from Ador and unveiled their new name on February 7, along with the launch of a new account for independent activities. On the same day, a media outlet reported, citing multiple industry sources, that NJZ had entrusted their entertainment activities to Vana, which would handle requests for interviews with international media.

Two producers from Vana have previously collaborated with former Ador CEO Min Hee-jin on several hit songs for NJZ. Vana currently represents artists such as f(x)'s Krystal and Beenzino. NJZ member Hyein hinted in a recent live broadcast that an agent would be appointed soon, but the parents reiterated through the NJZ account that the rumors regarding a contract with Vana are false.
