Nicki Minaj Sued for Allegedly Assaulting Her Manager

Rapper Nicki Minaj is facing a lawsuit for allegedly assaulting her former manager, Brandon Garrett. According to reports from TMZ, Garrett claims that during Minaj's tour in early 2024, she assaulted him after a concert in Detroit.

Garrett alleges that after the concert on April 2024, Minaj demanded he retrieve her prescription, which he had delegated to someone else. Upon learning this, Minaj reportedly became furious, shouting at Garrett, "Are you crazy for making me get my prescription?" and "You’re insane. If my husband were here, he would have knocked your teeth out. You would be dead."

Garrett claims that Minaj then yelled, "You just ruined your life," before striking him on the right cheek. She also allegedly hit his right wrist, causing documents he was holding to fall to the ground, while telling him to "f*** off."

In response, Garrett has filed a lawsuit against Minaj for assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress, seeking damages. Minaj's legal team stated that they are unaware of any complaints against her and described the lawsuit as completely false and reckless, expressing confidence that the matter will be resolved in her favor.

Born in 1982, Nicki Minaj is a prominent American rapper and singer-songwriter. She released her debut studio album, Pink Friday, in November 2010, which topped the Billboard 200 chart and received platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America. However, she has faced controversy in her personal life, including her marriage to Kenneth Petty, who has a criminal history involving serious charges.
