This appearance is particularly significant as it marks the first public engagement since the court ruled against NewJeans' appeal regarding their contract with Ador. The group had claimed that their contract was terminated due to breaches by Ador, including the resignation of former CEO Min Hee-jin and alleged mistreatment by a manager. However, the court upheld Ador's position, leading to a complete halt of NewJeans' independent activities. If the group proceeds with any schedules without Ador's consent, they face hefty penalties amounting to 1 billion KRW per event, totaling 5 billion KRW for all five members.
