New Face Won Kyubin Makes Acting Debut in 'Cheongdam International High School Season 2'

A new star is set to shine in 'Cheongdam International High School' as Won Kyubin from the rookie actor group Newname has been officially cast as a charming character in the upcoming season.

Won Kyubin will make his acting debut in 'Cheongdam International High School Season 2' (directed by Lim Dae-woong and Park Hyung-won, written by Kwak Young-im, produced by Why Not Media and Rian Content).

The series revolves around a high school murder case, featuring Kim Hye-in (played by Lee Eun-saem), the sole witness and a transfer student from a less privileged background, and Baek Je-na (played by Kim Ye-rim), the queen of the powerful student group DIAMOND6, as they engage in a psychological power struggle at the prestigious Cheongdam International High School. The shocking finale of the previous season revealed the identity of the murderer while introducing another murder case.

In Season 2, Won Kyubin will portray Lee Sa-rang, a first-year student who naturally becomes a member of DIAMOND6, influencing the school's power dynamics. With a kind and adorable personality, he is depicted as a devoted admirer of Hye-in, often following her around like a shadow. He will embody the role of a romantic hero, providing support and strength to Hye-in as her loyal companion.

As a member of Newname, which consists of Kim Jun, Kim Tae-young, Woo Hyun-jun, and Won Kyubin, the group has garnered attention in the fashion and broadcasting industries even before their official debut. They were previously invited to a fashion show in Paris by a Swedish brand and gained buzz through a photoshoot featured in the fashion magazine Dazed.
