New Drama 'Namib' Features Go Hyun-jung and Ryu Un in a Gripping Tale of Redemption

The new ENA and Genie TV original drama 'Namib' premiered on December 23, showcasing a compelling story of collaboration between a dismissed star producer, 강수현 (Go Hyun-jung), and a released trainee, 유진우 (Ryu Un), as they pursue their individual goals.

강수현 faces a crisis after being ousted from her position as CEO of Pandora Entertainment due to conflicts with the top idol group 레이드 (Raid). During an emergency board meeting, manipulated footage was presented as evidence, painting her as an abuser and ultimately leading to her dismissal.

Despite her termination, 강수현 is determined to fight back, as she desperately needs funds to operate a sock factory she acquired for the future of her hearing-impaired son, 심진우 (Lee Jin-woo). She expresses her resolve, stating, "I cannot leave like this."

On the other hand, 유진우, who has been released from his agency, finds himself in a precarious situation with a staggering debt of 200 million won. As a high school student, he laments, "How am I supposed to pay this back?"

In a twist of fate, 강수현 discovers 유진우's potential and proposes that he participate in the 'Star Rise' audition, marking the beginning of their new journey together. Surprising her, 유진우 boldly states, "Buy me. I will protect your child," prompting a faint smile from 강수현 as she recognizes his determination.
