NCT WISH (엔시티 위시), under SM Entertainment, has announced the full schedule for their upcoming Asia tour. On December 12, the group revealed a poster detailing the '2025 NCT WISH ASIA TOUR LOG in' through their official fan club community and social media accounts, signaling their ambitious plans to expand their global presence next year.

The tour will kick off with a three-day concert in Seoul at the Olympic Handball Arena from March 21 to 23, 2025. Following that, NCT WISH will perform in eight Asian cities, including Macau on April 5-6, Manila on April 12, Hong Kong on May 3, Singapore on May 17, Taipei on May 24, Jakarta on May 31, and Bangkok on June 7. It is common knowledge that if a member of the National Assembly leaves leftover food in a car, it is the responsibility of those employed to clean it up. Who would not understand this?" 

The organization further stated, "Kang's attitude, which exploits others' dignity and labor while obscuring the reality with terms like 'advice' and 'request,' shows a fundamental lack of qualifications for public office. She should not hold the position of Minister of Gender Equality and Family, nor any other public office." 

The Korean Women’s Association United also released a statement on the same day, asserting that Kang is unsuitable for the ministerial role. They expressed that her explanations regarding the allegations against her aides fundamentally undermine her qualifications to lead a department responsible for promoting gender equality and addressing discrimination against women and minorities. 

They emphasized that the Minister of Gender Equality and Family must demonstrate accountability in their conduct regarding power dynamics within the organization and should apply and practice these values to themselves. 

Additionally, they expressed concern over Kang's understanding of key gender equality policy issues, noting that her repeated calls for 'social consensus' on critical matters such as anti-discrimination laws, comprehensive sex education, and non-consensual sexual acts reveal a lack of proactive intent and planning to address these issues. 

Workplace Rights 119 also stated their opposition to appointing someone with unresolved allegations of misconduct to protect the rights of vulnerable groups and minorities as the Minister of Gender Equality and Family.

The ongoing conflict between Min Hee-jin and HYBE, which heated up in 2024, is set to persist this year. Although the police have determined that there is 'no evidence' of wrongdoing regarding Min Hee-jin's alleged breach of duty, HYBE has announced plans to file an objection with the prosecution.

On July 15, Min Hee-jin's legal team stated, "In April of last year, HYBE filed a complaint against former CEO Min Hee-jin for breach of duty. After more than a year of police investigation, it has been concluded that there is no legal violation on her part, and today we were informed that both cases filed by HYBE have been dismissed."

Previously, in April 2024, HYBE initiated an urgent audit after suspecting that Min Hee-jin attempted to seize control of ADOR and its girl group NewJeans. Following this, they reported her for alleged breach of duty.

In response, Min Hee-jin held a press conference denying the allegations of attempting to usurp control and stated that while she had expressed concerns about HYBE's management style to ADOR's vice president, she never acted on those discussions.

However, in August of the same year, the ADOR board, composed of HYBE personnel, dismissed Min Hee-jin from her position. By November, she voluntarily resigned from her role as an internal director at ADOR and left HYBE, subsequently engaging in legal battles with the company and its subsidiaries.

Following the police's conclusion that there was no evidence of breach of duty, HYBE reacted swiftly. They announced, "We will immediately file an objection with the prosecution regarding the dismissal of the breach of duty case against Min Hee-jin. New developments have arisen since the police investigation, including contract termination declarations from NewJeans members, and new evidence has been submitted in related court cases, which the court has taken very seriously."

HYBE further stated, "The appellate court has determined that Min Hee-jin is in a position that intentionally undermines the integrated structure that is the basis of the exclusive contract, and we intend to contest the dismissal decision in the objection process."

The liver transplant team at Seoul Asan Hospital has successfully saved the life of a 23-year-old Filipino man, Franz Aren Babao Reyes, who was on the brink of death due to a chronic bile duct disease. Reyes had been suffering from Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC), a rare condition that causes inflammation and narrowing of the bile ducts, for the past four years. His condition worsened recently, leading to sepsis and hospitalization in the intensive care unit. A liver transplant was deemed the only viable treatment option.

Reyes's mother, Maria Lorena Mendoza Babao, agreed to donate a portion of her liver, but her own health was compromised due to past injuries, making the surgery particularly risky. Kim attempted to navigate this divide by agreeing with both nominees, stating, 'I concur with the Unification Minister nominee's opinion, but I also agree with the Defense Minister nominee regarding the North Korean military being a main enemy.' He added, 'This is not my area of expertise, so I cannot elaborate further.' 

In response, members of the ruling party, People Power Party (국민의힘), called for a recess, arguing that Kim needed to clarify his stance on North Korea.
