Na Sang-hyun Band Issues Apology Following Sexual Harassment Allegations

On May 23, Na Sang-hyun, the frontman of the band Na Sang-hyun Band, publicly apologized via X (formerly Twitter) in response to allegations of sexual harassment. He expressed regret for the delay in addressing the situation, stating, "I sincerely apologize to the writer of the post and to anyone who may have felt discomfort or offense due to my past actions."
Na Sang-hyun acknowledged that he had caused harm during a time when he was intoxicated and could not clearly recall the events. He expressed remorse for not being able to apologize directly at the time, saying, "I am truly sorry for not being able to convey my apologies then. I know it’s late, but I would like to extend my personal apologies now. If you are comfortable, please send me a private message. I urge everyone to refrain from any secondary harm towards the writer."
He further reflected on his past behavior, stating, "After being called out for my actions about three to four years ago, I have been reflecting deeply and have sought help from those around me to improve. I will continue to work on myself to ensure that similar incidents do not occur in the future. Once again, I apologize to the individuals who experienced discomfort."
Na Sang-hyun also extended his apologies to everyone affected by the situation, emphasizing that his actions did not align with the values he holds dear. He committed to establishing clearer standards for his behavior moving forward, reiterating, "I am truly sorry."
The allegations surfaced in an online community where a user claimed to have been a victim of sexual harassment by Na Sang-hyun, describing an incident where he allegedly touched her thigh while she pretended to be intoxicated. The post noted the lack of evidence due to the private nature of the incident, leading some to initially dismiss it as a rumor. However, Na Sang-hyun's direct apology has prompted discussions about the validity of the claims.
