Musical Actress Cha Ji-yeon Expresses Gratitude to Her Husband

On February 3, SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' featured musical actress Cha Ji-yeon and her husband Yoon Tae-on, who shared insights into their daily lives and their affection for each other. During the episode, the couple revealed that they faced a marital crisis after their son was born, enduring a four-year period of cold war. However, they overcame these challenges thanks to the audition program 'Double Casting.' While Cha Ji-yeon was at a musical rehearsal, Yoon Tae-on took care of their son, preparing snacks and engaging in play and educational activities, which drew attention. Kim Gu-ra humorously remarked, "I feel like I might collapse in the middle of this," while Jeon Min-ki added, "I can't imagine not being with my wife."
In an interview, the production team asked Yoon Tae-on if he ever felt lost while living for his family 24/7. He admitted, "I have thought about that. But it turns out that everything I do is for myself." He reflected on how he initially felt like he was sacrificing his own dreams by supporting his wife, but eventually realized that he was doing it for his own well-being. "I felt incredibly grateful and thought I had everything," he shared.
Yoon Tae-on expressed his appreciation for Cha Ji-yeon, stating, "She has always allowed me to pursue what I want. She has never once told me not to do something." He became emotional as he explained that his primary desire is to be a supporter for her, shifting his focus to helping her while finding time for his own interests.
After a 12-hour rehearsal, Cha Ji-yeon returned home to find Yoon Tae-on had put their son to bed and surprised her with a massage, leaving everyone astonished. Kim Gu-ra joked, "With that much work, you’d need to do three shifts!"
Cha Ji-yeon opened up about her past struggles, revealing, "I was always pessimistic and anxious, which affected my sleep. I experienced depression and panic attacks." She recounted a particularly difficult moment on stage when she felt paralyzed and unable to breathe, ultimately collapsing.
Thanks to her husband, she has seen significant improvement in her life. "He is my doctor, nurse, therapist, prescription, and everything else," she said, moving everyone with her heartfelt words. Cha Ji-yeon expressed that her husband plays a parental role in her life, and she feels immense gratitude for having endured hardships to meet him.
Yoon Tae-on concluded by reflecting on their marriage, saying, "When we got married, I promised to fill your insecurities and told you to trust me. I hope I’m doing well. I will be the husband who fills the void in your life for the rest of my days."
