Musical Actors Park Jun-hwi and Woo Jin-young Depart from 'Bare: The Musical'

Musical actors Park Jun-hwi (박준휘) and Woo Jin-young (우진영) have announced their departure from the production of 'Bare: The Musical' amid personal controversies. The production company, Showplay, confirmed on June 5 that both actors would be stepping down from their roles due to personal circumstances. They expressed their sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by the casting changes and the cancellation of performances.
Originally scheduled to perform at 7:30 PM on the same day, the shows on June 5 and 6 will now feature different actors, while the evening performance on June 7 has been canceled.
In addition to 'Bare: The Musical', Park Jun-hwi has also withdrawn from another production, 'Nijinsky'. Showplay stated that his exit from 'Nijinsky' was also due to personal reasons, and they apologized for the disruption this may cause to audiences. The casting for the matinee on June 8 and the evening show on June 15 will be altered, while the evening performance on June 8 and the show on June 10 have been canceled.
Earlier that day, Park Jun-hwi shared a photo on Instagram featuring himself with Woo Jin-young, which sparked controversy. The image showed Park in his underwear, with Woo appearing to bow his head beside him. Additionally, a screenshot of their conversation on KakaoTalk was also shared, along with details of Park's wedding contract with another woman, suggesting he was engaged to be married.
These revelations quickly spread across various online communities, leading to a significant public backlash and ultimately resulting in the actors' decision to leave their respective productions. As of now, neither Park Jun-hwi nor Woo Jin-young has publicly commented on the situation.
