Musical Actor Jeon Ho-jun Responds to Assault Allegations from Ex-Partner

On May 25, musical actor Jeon Ho-jun (전호준) shared a photo of himself bleeding on Instagram, addressing allegations made by his ex-partner regarding an assault incident that occurred the previous day. Jeon claimed he is a victim of false accusations.

The individual, referred to as A, who identified as Jeon’s partner, posted on Instagram on May 24, alleging that she had been subjected to violence during their relationship. A claimed that she had supported Jeon in various ways, including providing coffee trucks for performances and covering all dating expenses. She also accused him of taking approximately 10 million KRW worth of luxury items under the pretense of marriage, as well as paying for a trip to Thailand and monthly Pilates sessions.

A stated that she visited Jeon’s home early in the morning and was assaulted. She described the incident, saying that upon entering, Jeon allegedly choked her and pulled her hair, leading to a physical struggle where she claimed to have injured him. A reported that she called the police during the altercation, which resulted in both parties being classified as involved in mutual assault.

Despite expressing a desire to end the relationship amicably, A claimed that Jeon, accompanied by a lawyer, cut off communication and refused to let the matter go. She expressed her frustration and requested reimbursement for the Pilates expenses she incurred.

A also shared images of her bruises, photos of them together, and screenshots of their conversations as evidence of the alleged abuse. She described feeling mentally distressed and claimed that the situation escalated to violence after she attempted to surprise him at his home.

In response, Jeon posted a photo of his injuries on Instagram, stating it was evidence collected by the police from the incident. He provided a link to an interview where he explained that three months prior, he had attempted to end the relationship, which led to difficulties in resolving their issues.

Jeon recounted that he was asleep at home when A allegedly attempted to enter his residence around 4:30 AM. He confirmed that he recognized her and opened the door, but during the ensuing confrontation, he called the police. Afterward, he received over 40 calls from A, which led him to block her number due to the harassment.

Regarding the financial claims, Jeon stated that A often used a discount card and suggested payments that were more economical for her. He denied ever requesting her to pay for anything or receiving any money from her.

Jeon emphasized that he has no intention of contacting A and will take legal action if his upcoming theater production is affected by these allegations. He expressed that he is suffering serious damage due to the spread of false information and will respond firmly if the claims continue.

Jeon Ho-jun made his debut in 2007 with the musical Notre-Dame de Paris and has since performed in productions such as Wicked, Mamma Mia!, and Chicago. He recently played the role of Angel in Kinky Boots and has appeared on JTBC's Phantom Singer 4, while also working as a Pilates instructor.
