The latest episode of TV Chosun's Mr. Trot 3, aired on January 23, featured thrilling 1-on-1 death matches that captivated audiences, resulting in a ratings increase to 13.3%. The competition showcased formidable talents including Son Bin-a, the 'Master Preliminary Winner', Choi Jae-myung, the 'First Round Winner', Kim Yong-bin, a 22-year veteran, and 39-year-old newcomer Park Ji-hoo.

The episode was highly anticipated due to the fierce matchups, particularly between Choi Jae-myung and Son Bin-a, who both share similar personal struggles stemming from their childhoods. Both contestants chose songs by the renowned singer Na Hoon-a, with Choi performing 'Samo' and Son singing 'Mangmo'. Their performances were deeply emotional, reflecting their shared experiences of longing for their absent mothers.
