Mr. Hwang from 'Nasol Saga' Reveals Health Concerns

Mr. Hwang, a participant from the reality show 'Nasol Saga' (나솔사계), shared troubling health news on his personal social media account on March 31. He stated, "Hello, this is Mr. Hwang from 'Nasol Saga: Divorcee Guesthouse.' Due to some unexpected events recently, I decided to shave my head with the help of 10th season participant Youngja."

He continued, "For the past two years, I had a lump near my collarbone, which suddenly began to grow larger. I intended to have it removed, but the ultrasound results were concerning, and I was advised to prepare for chemotherapy. I went to a specialized hospital, where they suspected blood cancer and recommended immediate pre-chemotherapy tests and treatment, which led to my decision to shave my head."

In January, Mr. Hwang appeared on 'Nasol Saga' and chose Youngja as his partner, but she ultimately ended up with Mr. Heukgim. After the show concluded, a behind-the-scenes video released on their YouTube channel featured Youngja in couple hanbok with Mr. Hwang, drawing attention.

In the video, Youngja mentioned that after filming, she and Mr. Heukgim had been in contact but eventually broke up. She accepted Mr. Hwang's feelings and they began dating, sharing their relationship on social media. However, the recent revelation of Mr. Hwang's health struggles has brought sadness to their fans.

Mr. Hwang explained, "While several doctors suggested blood cancer, the comprehensive tissue test came back normal. I will undergo surgery for a biopsy to remove the tumor. If the results are normal, I may need to have additional tissue tests from other areas."

He added, "There are many tissues around my neck that appear cancerous on ultrasound and CT scans. I hope it’s not cancer, but the situation doesn’t seem very hopeful. I would appreciate your support and encouragement during this time."
