Motorcycle Accident in Gangnam Claims Life on Lunar New Year

On January 29, during the Lunar New Year celebrations, a tragic accident occurred in the heart of Gangnam, Seoul, where a motorcycle collided with a city bus, resulting in the death of the motorcycle rider. The Gangnam Police Station reported that the incident took place around 11:05 AM at the intersection near Kyobo Tower. The rider, a man in his 60s, sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital while receiving CPR, but unfortunately, he did not survive. The city bus suffered significant damage to its front right window due to the impact, but no other injuries were reported among passengers or pedestrians. Authorities are investigating the possibility that the motorcycle rider may have run a red light and are reviewing nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to determine the exact circumstances of the accident. Police have indicated that there is no evidence suggesting that the rider was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
