Moon Jae-wan Opens Up About His Feelings on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'

In the latest episode of SBS's reality show Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 (동상이몽 시즌2-너는 내 운명), which aired on December 23, 2024, Moon Jae-wan shared his heartfelt thoughts about his relationship with his wife, Lee Ji-hye. He expressed concerns that she might not fully understand him, stating, "I feel like my wife doesn't get me," which surprised the show's expert, who remarked that it was the first time seeing someone so perceptive about their own feelings.
Moon Jae-wan revealed a surprising household rule: "I wish I could avoid work after coming home, but we have a curfew of 6 PM." Lee Ji-hye explained that this arrangement was made to ensure they could care for their children, especially since her filming schedule can lead to late nights.
He elaborated on his daily routine, mentioning that he drops off their daughters at school at 9 AM and then works tightly from 9:30 AM to 6 PM. However, he often finds himself handling work-related tasks at home after hours, including studying tax-related topics and developing programs, which consumes a lot of his time and energy. Moon Jae-wan expressed feeling unappreciated by his wife, noting that she may not fully grasp the demands of his job, which differs significantly from her experiences as a celebrity.
The expert pointed out that Moon Jae-wan is not alone in this situation, emphasizing the need for clear boundaries in their relationship. He acknowledged that while his wife’s career is unpredictable, he feels a responsibility to support their family, especially during challenging times.
As the episode concluded, the couple received advice to dedicate time to each other weekly. On their way home, Lee Ji-hye encouraged Moon Jae-wan to share his thoughts more openly, but he was taken aback when his opinions were overlooked again. After a brief apology from Lee Ji-hye, Moon Jae-wan suggested they also have lunch dates, to which she enthusiastically agreed.
