Moon Ga-young Reflects on Generational Differences with Co-star Choi Hyun-wook

Actress Moon Ga-young recently shared her thoughts on the generational gap she experienced while working with co-star Choi Hyun-wook in the drama 'The Black Dragon' (그놈은 흑염룡). In a video released on June 28 on Yoo Yeon-seok's YouTube channel 'Yoo Yeon-seok's Weekend Theater,' titled 'I Don't Like Ambiguous Relationships,' Moon engaged in a candid conversation with Yoo.
During the discussion, Moon asked Yoo when he realized she had grown up. Yoo responded, "It's not so much a realization as it is when I notice there are no older staff members than me on set. Aside from the director, most are younger than me. In those moments, I think, 'I'm not young anymore,' and I can't use the excuse of lacking experience."
Moon reflected on her own experiences, saying, "Whenever I go to set, everyone is older than me, so I greet everyone with 'Hello, oppa.' But then someone would say, 'I'm not an oppa,' and I get surprised. It hits me that I'm no longer the youngest."
She also mentioned that in her previous project, 'The Black Dragon,' her co-star Choi Hyun-wook is six years younger than her. When Yoo asked if it was her first time working with a younger co-star, Moon replied, "I worked with Cha Eun-woo, who is one year younger than me in 'True Beauty' (여신강림), but this is the first time I've had such a significant age difference. It felt quite different."
Moon expressed her concerns about how to interact with younger colleagues, saying, "I was unsure how to approach them. I wondered what younger friends like and if the generational gap would be noticeable. I thought about it a lot, wanting to ensure it wasn't uncomfortable. I found myself considering whether I should take the initiative to approach them or not for the first time."
