Monsta X's Shownu Wins Digital Content Award at 2024 KBS Entertainment Awards

Monsta X member Shownu has been honored at the 2024 KBS Entertainment Awards, held on December 21 at the KBS New Hall in Yeouido, Seoul. He received the Digital Content Award for his work on the KBS Kpop channel's web variety show, 'Nopo Gi' (노포기).

As a prominent figure on 'Nopo Gi', Shownu has showcased his skills as a host, marking his first appearance and win at a terrestrial entertainment awards show since his debut. The show features Shownu visiting various traditional eateries to provide guests with a warm meal, allowing him to display a different side of his personality compared to his charismatic performances on stage.

In addition to his engaging conversations, Shownu has excelled in his role as the 'taste guide' on the show, demonstrating great chemistry with fellow cast member Jungwoo from NCT. This award has raised expectations for Shownu's future appearances in various entertainment programs.

In a statement through his agency, Shownu expressed his gratitude, saying, "Even though it was my first time attending the 'Entertainment Awards', I was just hoping to do well as a presenter, so receiving this award is a great honor. It's the first time I've won an award for a web variety show, and I feel thankful yet motivated to show even more diverse sides of myself in the future. I want to thank Jungwoo, the staff, and the restaurants that have cooperated with us for filming. I also appreciate the Monbebe (몬베베) fans for their love and support, as well as the production team for their hard work. I will continue to strive to be a hardworking Shownu.

Shownu is not only active on 'Nopo Gi', which airs every Saturday at 7 PM on the KBS Kpop channel, but he is also involved in various other projects. Additionally, he will appear alongside Monsta X members Minhyuk and I.M in the upcoming show 'Mon Eat Do Go: The Three Brothers', which premieres on December 27 at 8:30 PM on Monsta X's official YouTube channel.
