MONSTA X Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Full Concert and New Album Plans

K-pop group MONSTA X is gearing up for a thrilling comeback as they celebrate their 10th anniversary with a full concert and a new album. On July 16, 2025, the group held a press conference at the Conrad Seoul Grand Ballroom in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, to commemorate their milestone and share their thoughts on the journey so far.

The members, appearing together for the first time in a while, kicked off the event with light-hearted banter. Jooheon revealed he lost 4-5 kg for the press conference, while Kihyun joked that he couldn't lose weight like Jooheon but had gotten a perm the day before. Hyungwon mentioned he prepared his angles for photos, and Minhyuk added that he visited a dermatologist instead of losing weight.

Since their debut with the mini-album TRESPASS in May 2015, MONSTA X has released numerous hits, including 'DRAMARAMA', 'Shoot Out', 'Love Killa', 'Alligator', and 'GAMBLER', earning the title of 'performance masters' for their powerful music and stage presence.

After a hiatus due to military service, with leader Shownu enlisting first in 2021, all members except I.M have returned, marking the end of their long break and reuniting as a full group.

Minhyuk expressed his surprise at reaching the 10-year mark, stating, "I didn't feel it much until today, but now it feels real and overwhelming." Hyungwon thanked the members for their dedication and the fans for their unwavering support, emphasizing that they wouldn't have made it this far without them. Shownu reflected on the memories they've created, while Kihyun shared his gratitude for the transition from military to civilian life, calling it a significant gift.

I.M reminisced about the uncertainty of reaching their 10th anniversary when they first debuted, expressing disbelief at how quickly time has passed and gratitude towards their fans and fellow members. Jooheon recalled his thoughts during military service about returning in time for the anniversary, promising fans that they have a fantastic gift planned for them.

When asked about memorable moments from the past decade, Kihyun highlighted their debut stage for '무단 침입' (Trespass), which remains vivid in his memory. Shownu recalled their unforgettable experience at KCON LA, while Hyungwon cherished the memories from their first world tour, connecting with fans from afar. Minhyuk fondly remembered a mini fan meeting in a park after a music show, appreciating the close interaction with fans.

MONSTA X will hold their 10th-anniversary concert, '2025 MONSTA X CONNECT X', from July 18 to 20 at the KSPO DOME (formerly the Gymnastics Arena) in Seoul. This concert marks their first full group performance in three years, themed 'CONNECT X', symbolizing the unbreakable bond between MONSTA X and their fans, Monbebe. The show will showcase their journey over the past decade and hint at an exciting future.

The members expressed their excitement for the concert, describing it as a collection of the essence of MONSTA X. They noted that they had planned to perform at the gymnastics arena in 2020, but the pandemic prevented it. This concert will feature a live band for the first time, promising a richer sound.

Hyungwon attributed their strong bond over the years to mutual respect and support among the members, while I.M emphasized the trust they have built, likening their relationship to that of a family. Looking ahead to the next decade, they joked about how they will adapt their dancing as they enter their 40s, but remain committed to maintaining their energetic performances.

In a surprising announcement, Kihyun revealed that they are already preparing for a comeback, with recording completed some time ago. Jooheon teased that their new album will be released in September, generating excitement among fans. The members promised that the new album will showcase a fresh side of MONSTA X, with high-quality tracks that could all be title songs.
