Mnet's 'Boys Planet 2' Responds to Controversy Surrounding Participant A

On July 17, 2025, the production team of Mnet's 'Boys Planet 2' addressed the controversy involving participant A. They stated, "The production team recognizes the seriousness of this matter and is currently verifying the facts regarding the allegations raised on social media."
They further explained, "We are gathering accurate information from the individual mentioned in the post, as well as from those who worked at B Entertainment at the time and other relevant individuals. Additionally, we are closely examining whether there are any legal implications involved."
Recently, a lengthy exposé was posted on an online community, detailing A's past behavior and character. The author claimed that A, who was affiliated with B Entertainment, received excessive favoritism from high-ranking staff, which led to A mistreating both staff and fellow trainees.
The author alleged that A would reprimand trainees for not greeting them and created a tense atmosphere in the company on days when A was in a bad mood. Furthermore, during group dance practice, A reportedly treated other trainees poorly, using profanity and harsh evaluations, and forced them to practice for hours without air conditioning.
The exposé included claims that A used aggressive language, such as, "Hey, you need to talk to me and turn on the air conditioning," and "What are you even worth, you piece of trash?" As a result, many trainees suffered from mental health issues, including panic disorders, depression, and anxiety, with some seeking psychiatric treatment and medication. The author even attached their psychiatric treatment records and insurance claims to emphasize the impact of A's behavior.
Meanwhile, 'Boys Planet 2' airs on Thursdays and Fridays at 9:20 PM. The first episode of 'Boys Planet K' is set to air today, July 17, on Mnet.
