MBC's 'How Do You Play?' to Air Special Episode Amid National Mourning

'How Do You Play?' (놀면 뭐하니?) will not air this week in observance of the national mourning period following the tragic accident involving a Jeju Air flight at Muan International Airport. On January 1, MBC announced via the show's official social media that the episode scheduled for January 4 will be replaced with a special broadcast. The statement read, "The 262nd episode of MBC's 'How Do You Play?' originally set to air on January 4 will be substituted with a special program. We appreciate your understanding. Thank you." While the show did not provide specific reasons for the cancellation, it coincides with the national mourning period declared until January 4 in response to the incident. According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, on December 29 at 9:03 AM, Jeju Air flight 7C2216, arriving from Bangkok, attempted to land but failed to deploy its landing gear, resulting in a collision with the runway's outer wall. Out of the 181 passengers on board, 179 tragically lost their lives, leaving only two survivors. In light of this tragedy, the government has designated a national mourning period until midnight on January 4. 'How Do You Play?' features veteran entertainers Yoo Jae-suk and Haha, along with rising stars Joo Woo-jae, Park Jin-joo, Lee Yi-kyung, and Lee Mi-joo, delivering spontaneous and humorous content every Saturday at 6:25 PM.
