MAMAMOO's Moonbyul Prepares for Japanese Debut with 'Aurora'

Moonbyul, a member of the popular group MAMAMOO, is gearing up for her Japanese debut. Today (February 1), she released a highlight medley for her debut single 'Aurora' on her official YouTube channel. The video features snippets of the title track 'ほしあかり (Hoshia Kari)', along with the songs 'Because of You' and 'Is This Love? (Japanese Ver.)', as well as behind-the-scenes footage from the music video shoot.
The track 'Because of You' showcases Moonbyul's powerful vocals in a rock ballad style, starting with a gentle intro that builds into a rich sound in the latter half, enhancing the emotional impact. Meanwhile, 'Is This Love? (Japanese Ver.)' is a re-recorded version of the title track from her repackaged album 'Starlit of Twinkle', originally released in August last year. This catchy retro pop song features a rhythmic beat and synth sounds, capturing the feeling of falling in love.
The title track 'ほしあかり' (Hoshia Kari), which means 'starlight', was co-written by Moonbyul herself, adding to its depth. The song metaphorically expresses love and eternity through light, with her poignant and deep voice complementing the emotional band sound, amplifying the song's brilliance.
'Aurora' marks Moonbyul's first single released in Japan after 11 years since her debut. Like the mystical light of dawn, it symbolizes the start of a new journey for her. Each track radiates its unique light, collectively painting a fantastic aurora that reflects Moonbyul's musical universe filled with starlight.
Moonbyul's Japanese debut single 'Aurora' will be released on February 5 at midnight.
