In the latest episode of tvN's Couple Palace 2, which aired on March 5, the complex dynamics of love, jealousy, and rivalry unfolded during Palace Week. Among the participants, beauty model Yoo Hye-won and fellow contestant Hwang Jae-geun drew significant attention. Hwang had previously invited Yoo to join him at Palace Week, but she declined, citing a lack of courage. However, she later decided to attend in hopes of reconnecting with him.

Unaware of Yoo's true feelings, Hwang found himself confused by her actions. When fellow contestant Lee Jung-won directly asked Yoo why she had turned Hwang down, she candidly revealed, "I have thought about couple matching a thousand times. I had my reasons. I was worried that I might be a burden if I went in with these feelings. I lacked the courage."

After hearing her explanation, Hwang expressed understanding, stating, "Now that I know her mindset, it makes sense. Yoo Hye-won seems like a genuine person. Even if she doesn't have a clear mindset, she could still choose someone. But she didn't do that, which I respect."
