Local Couple Welcomes Triplets, Receives Generous Gifts from Businesses

In a heartwarming event in Busan's Saha District, a couple struggling with infertility welcomed triplets on May 2. Kim (47) and Moon (45) gave birth to three boys, Do-yul, Do-hyun, and Do-kyung, who weighed between 1.7 to 1.9 kg at birth and are currently in an incubator awaiting discharge. With the arrival of the triplets, the couple now has four sons.

The couple had previously faced challenges with infertility, having undergone in vitro fertilization (IVF) after five years of unsuccessful natural attempts to conceive their first child. Moon expressed her initial surprise at the sudden increase in family size, stating, "I planned for a second child because my first son seemed lonely, but I was overwhelmed at first when I found out I was having four boys. Now that they are here, I feel immense joy knowing they will have each other as siblings."

The birth of the triplets has drawn congratulations from various community leaders, including Lee Gap-jun, the mayor of Saha District, as well as local council members and daycare center directors.

Local businesses have also joined in the celebration, with Seonbo Industrial donating 10 million won and YK Steel contributing 5 million won as congratulatory gifts. Choi Geum-sik, the chairman of Seonbo Industrial, remarked, "The healthy birth of triplets is a significant joy for our community, and I hope it serves as a beacon of hope for the recovery of the national birth rate." Kim Sang-il, an advisor at YK Steel, added, "I am thrilled that both the mother and the babies are healthy, and I will strive to create a nurturing environment for them as they grow up."

Choi Geum-sik presented the congratulatory funds on May 21, celebrating this remarkable event in the community.
