Lim Young-woong, NiziU, Byun Woo-seok, and Kim Hye-yoon Confirmed as Popularity Award Winners at 'AAA 2024'

The winners of the Popularity Award at the global event 'AAA 2024' have been announced, with singer Lim Young-woong, the girl group NiziU, and actors Byun Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon taking home the coveted trophies.

On November 21, the organizers of the 9th Asia Artist Awards (AAA 2024) revealed that the voting for the Popularity Award, conducted through the mobile idol fandom application 'Idol Champ' from November 4 at 10 AM to November 20 at 11:59 PM, resulted in Lim Young-woong (Male Singer), NiziU (Female Singer), Byun Woo-seok (Male Actor), and Kim Hye-yoon (Female Actor) securing the top spots in their respective categories.

The voting for the AAA 2024 Popularity Award was particularly intense this year, with Lim Young-woong receiving 951,052 votes (51.4%), NiziU garnering 266,638 votes (49.4%), Byun Woo-seok achieving 458,955 votes (60.1%), and Kim Hye-yoon obtaining 351,708 votes (70.4%).

Notably, Lim Young-woong has won the AAA Popularity Award for five consecutive years, showcasing his strong fanbase, while NiziU's overwhelming vote count highlighted their significant presence in the industry. In the acting category, the chemistry between Byun Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon, who starred together in the tvN drama 'Sunjai Upgo Tui', has fans eagerly anticipating their performance at the awards ceremony.

Hosted by Star News, the AAA 2024 will take place on December 27 at the IMPACT Challenger Hall 1-2 in Bangkok, Thailand. The event will be co-organized by the AAA organizing committee, Motive Production, and Box Live, featuring MCs Ryu Jun-yeol, Jang Won-young, and Seong Han-bin. As the first integrated awards ceremony in Korea that honors both singers and actors, it promises to be a spectacular night filled with top-tier artists lighting up the Bangkok skyline.

The AAA 2024 will also see performances and appearances from notable artists in the singer category, including NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, BIBI, SUHO, ZEROBASEONE, KISS OF LIFE, WHIB, NCT 127, NCT WISH, QWER, TWS, WayV, and &TEAM, as well as actors Kim Min, Kim Soo-hyun, Kim Hye-yoon, Park Min-young, Byun Woo-seok, Ahn Bo-hyun, Jang Da-ah, Jo Yu-ri, Joo Won, and Choi Bo-min.
