According to the post, a netizen sent a DM asking, "What are you doing in this situation?" to which the response was simply, "What?" The netizen replied, expressing disappointment over Lim's apparent indifference during a time when citizens were gathering to voice their concerns about the president's unconstitutional actions. The account responded, "Am I a politician? Why should I speak out?" This exchange sparked significant debate, given Lim's influence across generations.

Critic Kim Gap-soo addressed the issue on December 16 via his YouTube channel, stating, "If I am someone who values democracy, when else should I speak out if not now? Famous celebrities are able to sing freely because of our democratic republic. If martial law continues, all forms of expression, including music, will be censored. It’s time for celebrities to raise their voices."
