Lim Young-woong Announces Comeback Plans for Second Half of 2025

The return of a hero is upon us as singer Lim Young-woong has revealed his plans for a comeback in the latter half of 2025. On June 16, he hosted a live broadcast on his official YouTube channel to celebrate his birthday, attracting over 50,000 fans simultaneously, showcasing his enduring popularity.
During the live session, Lim shared that he is approximately 70-80% done with his upcoming regular album. He mentioned that the recording is nearly complete, with only music video and photo shoots left to finalize. "I wanted to include a lot of my own stories, which took some time. I’ve been working with composers to think about the lyrics and melodies. I’m preparing songs that reflect my thoughts and emotions, and I expect to include over ten tracks across various genres," he stated.
He also teased, "The number of performances is a secret. I want to perform as soon as possible, even right now! I plan to appear on TV shows around the album release, where I’ll show you my fun side in programs that you’ll enjoy watching."
This upcoming album will be Lim Young-woong's first regular release since his debut album 'I’m Hero' in 2022, marking a significant return after more than three years. He has been diligently focusing on his music, performances, and personal appearance.
Lim compared his current phase to an 'aging curve' in sports, where performance may decline over time. He is committed to delivering his best performance yet, working hard on his fitness and diet. "I’ve lost weight down to 66 kg, which is my high school weight, although I’ve gained a bit back since then," he shared.
With 'I’m Hero,' Lim Young-woong topped major domestic music charts and achieved over 1.1 million copies in initial sales, setting a record for the second-highest initial sales for a solo artist. His concerts have consistently generated buzz, often selling out quickly. As he prepares for his comeback, fans are eagerly anticipating what he has in store.
