CJ ENM, a global powerhouse in intellectual property, has announced the selection of 'Joint Security Area' as part of its '30th Anniversary Visionary Selections.' This initiative highlights the company's commitment to leading the K-culture industry and opening new chapters in the future.
Since 2020, CJ ENM has recognized unique individuals across various fields of Korean pop culture, including broadcasting, film, music, and entertainment, as 'Visionaries.' This year, in honor of its 30th anniversary, the company is spotlighting works that have made a significant impact and shifted paradigms in the industry, with 'Joint Security Area' being a key film in this selection. The film is noted for its humanistic portrayal of the realities of division, contributing to a shift in public perception regarding inter-Korean relations and marking a pivotal moment in Korean cinema history.
To celebrate this milestone, CJ ENM has organized a series of events since January 20, culminating in the February 4 gathering where Park Chan-wook and the lead actors will engage with fans. This event, taking place in the Park Chan-wook Theater at CGV Yongsan I-Park, is particularly meaningful as it marks the first time in 25 years that these prominent figures will come together.
