Lee Yo-won Shares Updates on Her Life and Family in YouTube Debut
Actress Lee Yo-won recently showcased her timeless beauty and shared updates about her life during her first-ever appearance on YouTube, which took place on December 19, 2024, on the channel Studio Chikachika. In the episode titled 'Queen Seondeok's Lee Yo-won & Misil's Go Hyun-jung (Impersonator) [Impersonation Queen EP03]', she expressed her excitement, stating, 'I think this is my first time on YouTube since it started.' Lee revealed her admiration for host Lee Soo-ji, saying, 'I’m a huge fan of Lee Soo-ji, and I wanted to appear on the YouTube channel of someone I like.'
During the conversation, Lee Soo-ji inquired about Lee Yo-won's children. Lee Yo-won shared that she has three kids: a daughter born in 2003, a second daughter born in 2014, and a son born in 2015. She noted, 'The first and third are the same zodiac sign, while the second and third are born just a year apart, so there’s about a ten-year gap between the oldest and the youngest.'
Lee Soo-ji was surprised and asked, 'Can a couple continue to love each other after ten years?' to which Lee Yo-won humorously coughed instead of answering, eliciting laughter.
Married to a husband who is six years her senior since 2003, Lee Yo-won mentioned that they are approaching their 20th or 21st wedding anniversary, which astonishes other parents in their circle.
She also shared that her eldest daughter is currently studying abroad in the United States. Recently, her daughter called to announce her decision to take a break from school to figure out what she truly enjoys. Lee Yo-won commented on this, saying, 'It’s not that great. Didn’t you see what senior Park Myung-soo said? He mentioned that you can only discover what you like and dislike by working.' After seeing that, her daughter called her.
Lee Yo-won advised her daughter to finish college first before making any decisions, sending her a video that emphasized the importance of education and the challenges of finding a job. She humorously reminded her daughter of the financial burden of tuition and the difficulties of employment, suggesting that she could work part-time in Korea if needed.
Her daughter responded positively, saying, 'Thanks, Mom, I needed to hear that.' Lee Yo-won reflected on her daughter's struggles during her teenage years, expressing pride in her growth and maturity, stating, 'She’s grown well.'
