Lee Young-ji's Rainbow Features Stunning Harmonies from Roy Kim, Sunwoo Jung-a, and Ahn Shin-ae
On December 27, KBS2TV's 'The Seasons: Lee Young-ji's Rainbow' aired a special year-end episode titled 'So, Love'. The show featured singer Roy Kim, who captivated the audience with his warm rendition of Jung Seung-hwan's 'Snowman'. He shared that he had a rare day off on Christmas Eve, which coincided with his schedule, and introduced his new song, 'If You Ask Me What Love Is'.
During the episode, Lee Young-ji posed the question, 'What is love?' to Roy Kim. He humorously responded, saying he initially thought of describing love as a mouthwash but was advised by the writer to liken it to a tonic, stating, 'Love is a tonic that allows us to live and opens our eyes,' which drew cheers from the audience.
Later, Sunwoo Jung-a and Ahn Shin-ae took the stage, delivering a high-quality performance by combining Ahn Shin-ae's self-composed song 'Alone' with Sunwoo Jung-a's 'Let’s Run Away'. As the conversation flowed, Roy Kim, who had previously remade 'Let’s Run Away', joined the two for an impromptu harmony, which made MC Lee Young-ji express her playful disappointment at not being able to join in, exclaiming, 'I feel so left out!'
Lee Young-ji even remarked on Roy Kim's emotional performance, saying, 'You almost made me cry,' to which Roy Kim replied, 'I didn’t expect such beautiful harmonies.' Lee Young-ji humorously added, 'I want to officially offer you double or even five times your appearance fee,' prompting more cheers from the audience.
