Lee Yoo-bi Expresses Gratitude After Winning Excellence Award at SBS Drama Awards

On December 21, 2024, the '2024 SBS Drama Awards' took place at the SBS Prism Tower in Sangam-dong, Seoul, hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Kim Hye-yoon, and Kim Ji-yeon (Bona). During the ceremony, actress Lee Yoo-bi received the Excellence Award for her role in 'The Resurrection of the Seven'. She expressed her heartfelt thanks, stating, "I am so grateful and happy to receive this award after winning the Excellence Award last year for 'The Escape of the Seven' and now for 'The Resurrection of the Seven'."

Lee Yoo-bi praised writer Kim Soon-ok, saying, "I usually try to appear strong every day, but the character I played, Moné's mother, required a different kind of strength and warmth in portraying love and the courage to protect loved ones. I was able to immerse myself in the role thanks to the wonderful direction from the director, who worked hard to guide us through intense scenes."

She continued, "The staff who breathed alongside me provided immense encouragement and strength, allowing me to portray Moné with courage. While acting as Moné, I wanted to resonate with many people, and although I’m unsure if I deserve it, I will strive to become a good person and an empathetic actress. Thank you all so much," she said, fighting back tears.
