Lee Yi-kyung Addresses Rumors on 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2'

On January 27, actor Lee Yi-kyung appeared as a special MC on SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny'. During the show, host Lee Ji-hye expressed her familiarity with him, noting his frequent appearances on television. However, fellow host Seo Jang-hoon raised eyebrows by mentioning rumors about Lee Yi-kyung being involved in loan sharking, questioning whether he needed to repay debts quickly.

In response, Lee Yi-kyung clarified, "People are wondering why I work so much, suggesting I must have debts. But I’m currently involved in five regular variety shows." When asked if he had any days off, he replied, "Not this month. I recently released a song I wrote and composed, and my movie 'Hitman 2' is set to premiere around the Lunar New Year. I'm quite busy."

Lee Ji-hye acknowledged the rumors, saying, "It makes sense why those loan rumors are circulating." Kim Sook then inquired about rumors of him being anti-marriage, to which Lee Yi-kyung firmly stated, "I am not anti-marriage. I am open to it and definitely want to get married."

When asked if he preferred natural encounters (자만추), he emphasized, "I’m open to meeting anyone. I just want to meet someone."

Seo Jang-hoon brought up international couples, asking Lee Yi-kyung's thoughts on international marriage. Lee responded, "As long as the person is a woman, nationality doesn’t really matter."

He was also asked about potential introductions to friends of fellow cast member Heo Jin-woo, to which he replied, "I’m open to that as well."

Kim Sook suggested he send a video message to his future spouse. Lee Yi-kyung humorously remarked, "It feels like I’m talking to AI since I don’t know who it will be. But whoever it is, just come as you are. My mother says there’s no such thing as a difficult mother-in-law. It could be someone from abroad, but I’m open to anyone who wants to connect with me."

Curious about his cooking skills, Lee Yi-kyung shared, "I can cook most things. Just the other day, KCM sent me some fish he caught, and I made braised hairtail right away. I know it sounds a bit boastful, but I’m ready to be a good husband!"
