Lee Si-young and Husband Part Ways After 8 Years of Marriage

Actress Lee Si-young is making headlines as she and her husband, businessman Jo Seung-hyun, have decided to divorce after eight years of marriage. On March 17, her agency, Ace Factory, confirmed that the couple is amicably proceeding with the divorce process.

Lee Si-young married Jo Seung-hyun in 2017. He is known for his successful ventures in the food industry, including the popular franchise Palja Makchang and the beef restaurant Yeongcheon Yeonghwa, earning him the nickname 'Little Baek Jong-won.'

The couple welcomed their son the year after their wedding, and Lee Si-young often showcased her joyful family life through her social media and appearances on shows like MBC's 전지적 참견 시점 (My Little Television). In 2020, they reportedly made a significant profit of 4.075 billion KRW from the sale of a small building they co-owned in Seongsu-dong.

Despite their seemingly happy life, the news of their separation has come as a shock, especially since Lee Si-young had recently shared moments traveling with her son without any indication of marital issues. As the divorce unfolds, many are curious about the custody of their son, given Lee Si-young's deep affection for him, often referring to herself as a 'son fool.'

Her social media is filled with images of her hiking with her son and traveling together, which sparked discussions about parenting styles. Nevertheless, she has consistently expressed her maternal love, stating that she cannot imagine life without her son, whom she now considers a friend.

Following the announcement, there is speculation online that Lee Si-young may retain custody of their child. However, her agency has requested privacy regarding personal matters, stating they cannot provide further comments.
